Siobhan and Michael have recently relocated to Austin, Texas, from Alexandria VA. Working together as an acoustic duo, they write heartfelt songs of love and courage, presenting the grace and grit of real life in seamless harmony. Siobhan and Michael present excellent music finely crafted with precision, emotion and beauty. There is a focus and continuity in their shows that leaves you with little doubt that these two are truly partners. Siobhan brings the audience directly to the emotional center of each song while Michael draws you in with his warmth, humor, and makes observations of life with a wry twist. Siobhan and Michael present a wide variety of interactive workshops for Artists, Arts Administrators and Conferences lasting from day, weekend, to week-long Master Classes, Arts Education, Conference & community workshops in voice, songwriting, creative writing.
VOICE and PERFORMANCE
In addition to teaching at her home studio, Siobhan Quinn is well known as a contemporary vocalist with the ability to draw out the very best in each voice in a workshop setting, working with a diversity of voices and trouble shooting complex issues of all kinds. Resident vocal instructor at Swannanoa Gathering for 15 years, she constantly updates her training to ensure that she gives to her students the best possible training. Siobhan and Michael work with individuals and groups to help them get to the center of each emotional performance. They have taught together or separately at Kerrville Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Song School, Swannanoa Gathering (Warren Wilson College), WUMB Summer Acoustic Music Week, Great American Masters Music Industry Workshop, vocal performance coaching at Summersongs & Wintersongs retreats and numerous individual folksong societies, libraries, arts centers, coffeehouses and churches as a community engagement add on to performance series.
ARTS ADMINISTRATION
In addition to their artistic credentials both of these artists have a profound amount of experience in nonprofit administration, including small to 500 seat venues, 501c3s to University Performing Arts Centers. Their workshop and retreat focus has a strong focus on strategic planning including board development, mission and vision, programming and funding strategies.
